In Loving Memory of Richard Keith “Rick” Puckett

September 24, 1954 – July 26, 2025, Peebles, Ohio

“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.”—Thomas Campbell

It is with profound sadness that we announce the heavenly transition of Richard Keith “Rick” Puckett, age 70, of Peebles, Ohio. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Rick entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Hospice of Hope, Seaman, Ohio.

Born on September 24, 1954, in Hillsboro, Ohio, Rick was the son of the late George and Betty (Ryan) Puckett. He dedicated his life to his family and community, living with love, strength, and quiet wisdom.

Rick led Glockner Oil Company in Piketon, Ohio, for 45 years with steadfast commitment and integrity. He was known not only for his hard work, but for the way he treated people—with kindness and respect.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Shelley, and their two children, Kimberly (Shane) Ison and Richard (Leeann) Puckett. He was a proud and devoted Papaw to four grandchildren: Zach Ison, Addison Puckett, Rylie Ison, and Amelia Puckett. He also leaves behind his brother, Robert (Podie) Puckett; his close cousin Steve (Val) Ryan; along with many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

Rick loved the simple joys of life—gardening with his children, mowing the yard, playing the drums, watching his grandchildren shine, and cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals. He had a passion for horse racing, golf, travel, and following the stock market with sharp interest and enthusiasm.

Whether you called him Rick, Dad, Papaw, Paw, or Poppa—he will always be remembered for his kindness, gentle humor, and the love he shared so freely.

Rick leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, devotion, and joy.

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
