Success breeds success and that was quite evident recently at the 2023 North Adams lady Devils Youth Basketball Camp. Last season, Coach Rob Davis and his Lady Devils forged a 25-1 record and that kind of season always serves as a building block for future generations. Some 70 future lady ballers showed up to participate in the recent three-day camp, from kindergarten through eighth grade.
“The most we had in a camp before was in the 50’s so this was a great turnout,” said Coach Davis. “It’s a joy to see our kids plus kids from other schools here. I hope they all learned something and I hope they all had fun. It is a game and you’re supposed to enjoy playing it.”
“We urge our kids to not be average, but be great at what they do.”
The camp stressed learning some of the fundamental skills of the game of basketball will drills and games designed to make learning fun.
