As autumn settles in with its crisp air and golden leaves, you may find yourself searching for ways to embrace the warmth of community and creativity. At your library, fall brings with it a rich variety of programs and events designed to inspire your imagination, spark joy, and connect you with others. From stories that carry you through the holidays to hands-on projects and community showcases, this season invites you to step into the library and discover something special waiting just for you.

One of the highlights you can look forward to is “Tales Through the Holidays”, a reading challenge that encourages you to create your own reading goals and earn prizes along the way. This program is not just about reading. Fun activities and creative art projects count toward your challenge, too. By taking part, you can enjoy festive stories, boost your reading, and add a little extra excitement to the season.

At the Manchester Library, you can take a piece of creativity home with you through the Take-Home Craft Kits. These kits are thoughtfully prepared to give you everything you need to create your own seasonal projects right at home. Whether you enjoy crafting with your children, sharing a quiet moment of creativity, or adding handmade touches to your home, these kits are a simple way to bring a little fall magic into your daily life.

Storytime at each library continues to be a favorite for families, offering little ones a chance to explore new worlds through books, songs, and interactive fun. When you bring your child to Storytime, you are giving them more than just stories. You are nurturing a love for reading, sparking their imagination, and building early literacy skills. Storytime also helps children build a strong foundation for kindergarten, giving them the tools they need to grow and thrive. Sessions are offered regularly so you can find the one that works best for your schedule. Join us at the North Adams Library on Tuesdays at 11 a.m., at the Peebles Library on Wednesdays at 11 a.m., at the West Union Library on Thursdays at 11 a.m., or at the Manchester Library on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Thursdays at 5 p.m. Each session is filled with joy and discovery, offering you and your child a special moment to share together.

Another exciting opportunity this fall is the Authors and Artisans event at the North Adams Library, hosted in partnership with the Adams Arts Council. On Saturday, October 4 at 11 a.m., you are invited to celebrate the creativity of local talent. The event will bring together authors eager to share their words and artisans ready to showcase their crafts. As you stroll through the exhibits, you will have the chance to meet creators, explore their work, and perhaps even take home something meaningful. The day will be full of inspiration,

conversation, and community spirit. If you are interested in securing your own exhibition space, please reach out to Kimberly Smith at (937) 217-3982.

This fall, the library offers you a season of stories, crafts, learning, and creativity. Each program is an invitation to celebrate the spirit of community and the beauty of autumn while connecting with others who share your love for books, art, and discovery.
