Robert “Bob” Campbell, 80, died on December 24, 2020 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH. He was the husband of Edna McIntosh Campbell. They shared 25 years of love and happiness together. Born in Adams County, he was the son of Robert “Jake” and Thelma (McCane) Campbell.
He graduated from Peebles High School. He was an accomplished construction/backhoe operator who retired after many years in the field. He attended the West Union CCCU church. He was a retired dirt track racer and enjoyed watching the races. Even though he was retired the man loved to drive, and fast. He will be remembered for his love of Christ and his love for helping others.
He is survived by his wife Edna, daughters Alena (Brian) Mekeburg, Juanita Miller, and Debbie (Charles) Palmer; sons Roger (Charniecee) Blakely and Donathan (Denise) McIntosh; brother in laws Robert(Linda) McIntosh and Kelly McIntosh; 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, special nephew, and niece Tom (Melissa) Partin and many other nieces and nephews, and Blacky his beloved cat.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Partin, and his nephew Toni Partin.
The memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
