Work is set to begin February 21 on a project to repair a landslide on S.R. 770 between Nichols Ridge Road and Raines Road that closed the route in mid-December. Following assessment of the site and resulting damage to the roadway, ODOT District 9 Engineering staff determined the road would need to remain closed until repairs could be completed.
Shelly & Sands, Inc. was awarded the contract for the repair project. Crews will mobilize equipment and materials to the job site this week. The roadway will remain closed for the duration of the project. During the closure traffic is being detoured via S.R. 73, S.R. 785, and S.R. 247. Estimated completion: Spring 2023.
