Lawrence Ronald Poe, age 75 years of Winchester, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Eagle Creek Nursing Center. Ron was born on June 27, 1946, the son of the late Lawrence G. and Marie (Wyatt) Poe in Lebanon, Ohio. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Matthew Poe and two brothers, Greg and Mikey Poe.
Ron was a Journeyman Electrician for nine years with General Motors, Professional Firefighter for 14 years in Evendale, EMT for 21 years in Evendale and Morrow, EMT instructor for five years in Warren County Vocational School, Electrical Safety Inspector for 22 years with IBI Cincinnati, Electrical Apprentice Instructor for three years at Scarlet Oaks, and a Police Officer for 12 years in Morrow, Manchester and West Union, Ohio.
Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Barbara Poe of Winchester, Ohio; two daughters, Heather Gilliam and Gary and Rachel Poe and Matt; three sons, Micah Poe and Brittnie, Caleb Poe and Sarah and Josiah Poe and Lena; sister Annette Poe and Jeff; brother Gaylord Poe; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at noon at the Bible Baptist Church in West Union, Ohio, under the direction of the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Following services Ron will be cremated.
