Harry “Pastor Pete” Francis Jr., 79, of West Union, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Madeira Healthcare Center. He was born July 31, 1945 in Manchester, son of the late Harry Walter and Alvera Snyder Francis. He is survived by his wife, Linda Day Humphrey Francis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Whaley Francis, who passed away in 2022; his daughter, Sue Littleton and siblings, Edna Goodfellow, Melvin Alcorn, Brenda Strunk and Alice Shope.

Pastor Pete dedicated his life to service both in his faith and his community. After giving his life to Christ in 1984, he became the Founder and Pastor at Riverside Church, where he faithfully shepherded others with compassion and conviction. He also worked as a Master Mechanic for the Adams County Engineer’s Office, bringing skill and integrity to his profession. Beyond his work, Pete gave countless hours volunteering with the RU program, impacting many lives through his steady encouragement and support. His life was a testament to hard work, faith, and a heart for helping others.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Brian (Donna) Francis, Terry (Judy) Francis and Shawn (Stacy) Francis; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and his sister, Kathy Knox; as well as many cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the Faith Life Church, 91 Rollingwoods Drive in West Union. Pastor Joey Sandlin will officiate. Burial will follow at Vaughn’s Ridge Cemetery.
