With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Lilith Nova Burkhardt, who left this world far too soon on July 1, 2025, at the precious age of two.
Born on May 1, 2023, Lilith brought with her a light so bright, it filled every corner of her family’s world. Her laughter, full of wonder and joy, echoed like music through the hearts of those lucky enough to know her. Though her time here was brief, the love she gave and inspired was immeasurable. She wass preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Ardonna Burkhardt.
She leaves behind her mother, Tien Hawkins; father, Jason Burkhardt; sisters Aurora Sage Burkhardt and Isabel Faye Burkhardt; and brother Damien Burkhardt; her maternal grandparents Karen and Scott Hawkins; paternal grandfather Chuck Burkhardt; and a circle of family and friends forever changed by her brief, beautiful presence.
Though words can never contain the loss, Lilith’s spirit will live on in every sunrise, every bloom, and every moment of joy shared in her memory.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union, with Robbie Blythe officiating. Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. till the time of the service at 1 p.m.
