A four-year long investigation has resulted in the arrest of two men from Highland County in the 2020 murder of an 18-year old Adams County man.

The arrests were announced last weekend in a joint statement from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Adams County Sheriff Kimmy Rogers and Adams County Prosecutor Aaron Haslam.

On August 25, 2020, Boston Bloomfield, 18, was found deceased in the 200 block of Palmer Road in Seaman. The two suspects, Jordan Comer, 22, and Latyran “Ty’ Haithcock, both residents of Hillsboro were arrested on August 24, reportedly without incident. The report from the Attorney General’s Office said that the arrests were made by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington Courthouse Police Department.

The suspects are being held in separate facilities at the moment, Comer in the Adams County Jail and Haithcock in the Fayette County Jail. The case will be reviewed by Prosecutor Haslam and eventually be presented to a grand jury.

Prosecutor Haslam could not comment on the case until after the possible grand jury indictment takes place.

The investigation and arrests were a combined four-year effort involving the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office along with the Highland County Task Force, the office of Highland County Prosecutor Anneka Collins and the office of Highland County Sheriffs Donnie Barrera and Randy Sanders.

The specific details of the crime and the arrest have not been released.
