Hazel Pettit, 92 years of Winchester, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at the Horizon of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center, in Seaman, Ohio.

Hazel was born on Sept. 12, 1926, in Fleming County, Ky., the daughter of the late George and Virginia (Davis) Barber. Hazel spent her life caring for her family and her home. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Winchester Post #242.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband, Leon Pettit, to whom she was married over 65 years. She is survived by a son, Dennis (Janis) Pettit of Winchester; and a step-grandson, Darren Underhill of Winchester.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 6-8 p.m. on  Monday, June 17, 2019, at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home, in Winchester.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the Fairview Cemetery, in Grange City, Ky., with Randy Hawkins officiating.
