Charles Junior Harmon, age 95 years of Manchester, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Harmon was born on Dec. 16, 1923, the son of the late Charles Wesley and Cora (Scott) Harmon in West Union, Ohio. Besides his parents, Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by a son, James Robert Harmon.

Mr. Harmon was a member and trustee of the West Union Christian Union Church, a member of the Adams County Flying Club, a World War II U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran in the China, Burma, and India Theater, and a local carpenter for many years.

Survivors include his wife Ona Harmon of Bentonville, Ohio; five children, Patricia A. Mustard and Raymond of West Union, Ohio, Jerry Harmon and Barbara of West Union, Rick Harmon and Sherri of Winchester, Ohio, David Abbott and Heather of Bentonville, and Denise Harmon and Carnell Harris of Virginia; two brothers, Edward C. Harmon and Esther of West Union and Phillip Harmon and Betty of McDermott, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union with Volley Reed officiating. Burial will be in the West Union Cemetery following cremation. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. the day of the service with military services by the Adams County Honor Guard.
