For the 36th consecutive season, local radio station C-103 will give the senior basketball players of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference one last night to shine as West Union High School will be the host of the annual C-103 Senior All-Star Game on Friday, March 29.
The annual event always draws a huge crowd of fans from all the conference and is a night filled with activities and of course, the SHAC seniors playing a little basketball. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the hard-working organizers from the radio station have events for everyone.
The girls All-Star game begins at 6 p.m. and at halftime there will be performance by the acclaimed West Union Winter Percussion Group. plus the Three-Point Shootout contest for the girls and boys senior sharpshooters. At the end of the girls game, there will be an auction of basketball autographed by the senior players and a megaphone signed by all the cheerleaders.
After all of that, the boys will take the floor and at halftime of their game will be the always popular Slam Dunk contest, which is open to anyone who thinks they can fly high in the competition. All of the proceeds from the game go towards the 10 $1,000 scholarships that are given to deserving seniors and those awards will be presented at halftime of the boys game.
The evening will also feature what is usually a quite large Split the Pot Drawing as well as concessions provided by the West Union Athletic Boosters.
