KING & QUEEN CONTEST
Preliminary interviews were held prior to the contest. The final selection of the Queen and runners-up took place during the Fair’s Opening Ceremonies on Sunday, July 12. The Contest was sponsored, in part, by the Seaman Flower Shop-Terri Davis, 1st State Bank, Adams County Junior Fair Board, C103 Country, Annymae Shoemaker, and The Lafferty Loft.
Our queen is Vivian Grimes, Vivian is 17 years old and is the daughter of David and Alisa Grimes. She graduated from Eastern Brown High School. Vivian is a member of the Adams County Beef and More 4-H Club and Eastern Brown FFA. She has been in 4-H for 10 years, holding various leadership positions in her club and volunteering in several different community organizations, including the Adams County Junior Fair Board for the last two years.
1st Runner up is Grace DeAtley, Grace is 16 years old and a senior at North Adams High School. She is the daughter of Richard and Katie DeAtley. Grace is a member of the Green Hustlers 4-H club and has been in 4-H for 11 years, and the North Adams FFA. She has served as reporter and president of her FFA chapter and has volunteered in several community organizations, including Adams County Junior Fair Board.
2nd Runner up Nina McCann, Nina is 18 years old and has recently graduated from West Union High School. She is the daughter of Rebecca McCann. Nina is a member of the East Tiffin Aggies 4-H club and has been involved in 4-H for 12 years. Over the years, she has held different leadership roles in her 4-H club and spent hundreds of hours volunteering with her church youth group, the National Honor Society, and 4-H.
3rd Runner up is Madee Koenig, Madee is 17 years old and a graduate of Peebles High School where she was a member of the Peebles FFA. She is the daughter of Angela Koenig. Madee is a member of the Rocks and Roots 4-H Club and has been in 4-H for 9 years. She has served as President and Vice President of her 4-H club, as well as her FFA chapter. Madee has volunteered in several different community organizations, including Adams County Junior Fair Board for the past four years.
4th Runner up is Reese Davis, Reese is 16 years old and the daughter of Kenny and Kendra Davis. She is a senior at Peebles High School and a member of the Peebles High School FFA. Reese has been a member of the Farm Friends 4-H club for the last 8 years, holding different leadership positions and volunteering for the Adams County Junior Fair Board for the past 2 years.
Our king is Diesel Ferguson. Diesel is 17 years old and a graduate of Manchester High School and the Ohio Valley CTC. He is the son of Marty and Marcheta Ferguson. Diesel has been a member of the Green Hustlers 4-H club for 13 years. He is a member of the Ohio Valley FFA chapter, as well as the Adams County Junior Fair
Board.
The first runner up is Liam Newland. Liam is 16 years old and a junior at West Union High School. He is the son of Lacey and Logan Collins. Liam has been a member of the Climbing Clever Cloverbuds 4-H club for 10 years where he has served in several different leadership roles. He has volunteered in several different areas within his church and community.

SHOWMANSHIP SWEEPSTAKES CHAMPION
The Showmanship Sweepstakes Competition was held on Friday, July 17th at 7:00 pm. Each of the species’ Showman of Showmen competed, showing each of nine species, including dairy cattle, beef cattle, poultry, goats, sheep, swine, dairy goat, horses, and rabbits. They earned points for their placing in each species.
