Valley View Health Centers (VVHC), proudly owned and operated by Community Action Committee of Pike County (CAC), continues to grow community healthcare standards by securing a new accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International for its Special Health Conditions Support program. This recent achievement builds upon the foundational CARF accreditation that was awarded to Valley View Health Centers last year.
CARF International is recognized as an accrediting organization that thoroughly evaluates healthcare facilities for excellence in behavioral health, rehabilitation, and human services. Achieving this status requires a facility to meet a vast list of rigorous standards related to patient safety, treatment effectiveness, leadership accountability, and performance outcomes.
This new level of accreditation recognizes VVHC’s Case Management and Services Coordination for Mental Health: Children and Adolescents. Mental Health Providers ensure that individualized care and goal-oriented supportive services are planned specifically for youth seeking assistance through the Behavioral Health programs. Providers connect children and families with psychiatric, social, and educational services that lead to crisis intervention and full care coordination (e.g. Medical, Dental, Supportive Services, etc).
For local families, this award should inspire peace of mind as it not only confirms that VVHC provides care that is safe, honest, and highly effective, but also ensure that children and adolescents have access to the care and services needed to build strong mental health tools and resources. Parents can trust their children are receiving care that follows the best practices in the behavioral health field, right here in South-Central Ohio.
Valley View Health Centers provides mental health services at our locations in Waverly (227 Valley View Drive and 13800 US 23, Waverly), Jackson (14590 State Route 93, Jackson), and Portsmouth (621 Broadway Street, Portsmouth and 23030 State Route 73, West Portsmouth); as well as, behavioral health services are available within our School-Based Health Centers at Scioto Valley High School (1420 Piketon Road, Piketon) and Manchester Schools (130 Wayne Frye Drive, Manchester), where students and their families are able to receive medical and mental health care services.
