Juanita Lynn Reed, 57, of Otway, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 4 at SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth. Juanita was born November 19, 1968 in West Union. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Boldman; husband, Daniel Reed; one sister, Tinna Ward; aunt Sharon Boldman; aunts Grace Parks-Ewing and Axie Boldman.
Juanita is survived by her father, Robert Boldman of Otway; son, James (Odessa) of Otway; daughter, Amber (Billy) Reed of Lancaster; sister, Teresa (Tommy) Chamblin of Blue Creek; brother-in-law, Junior Chamblin of Columbus; brother-in-law, Scottie Ward of Otway; nieces, Heather (Lester) Grooms of Blue Creek, Courtney Ward of Otway and Sydney Ward of Otway; grandsons Colton Reed, Hayden Wells and Ray Iringan of Lancaster; granddaughters Keera and Kylee Reed of Otway and Lindsey Wicker of Lancaster; aunt, Darlene Myers of Blue Creek; uncle, Doug Boldman of Otway; and many cousins, great nieces and nephews, including Blake Boldman of Otway, whom she was very close with.
Juanita enjoyed sitting at her table working crossword puzzles and word searches. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She worked at Knauff’s Grocery and Restaurant in Blue Creek for many years and also at Maca Plastics near West Union.
Visitation is Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 10 a.m. – noon at the Lafferty Funeral Home in West Union.
The Graveside Service is Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 1 p.m. at the Moores Chapel Cemetery in Blue Creek. Pastor Keith Steward will officiate.
