An Adams County man is facing prison time after pleading guilty to sexual assault charges involving two children.
John Thomas Boling, 60, whose current adress is listed as Georgetown, Ohio, changed his original not guilty plea to guilty on July 16 pleading guilty to two charges of rape and another of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
According to representatives of the Common Pleas Court, Boling is admitting to the sexual abuse of one victim that began in 2001 and continued until 2005. The abuse of the second victim began in 2001 and continued until March of 2002.
According to official court documents provided to the Defender, The Defendant will plead guilty to Amended Count 1 of the Indictment, being Rape, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2907.02(A)(2), a felony of the first degree; Amended Count 2 of the Indictment, being Rape, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2907.02(A)(2), a felony of the first degree; Count 9 of the Indictment, being Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor 2907.04(8)(3), w/Finding, in violation of Ohio Revised Code 2907.04(A) and a felony of the third degree; Counts 3, 4,5,6, 7, and 8 shall be dismissed.
Boling will also be subject to mandatory post release control if he is released from prison.
He is currently being held in the Adams County Jail and sentencing is currently set for Monday, August 3 at 2:30 p.m.
