Sean Edward James Copley, 21 years of age, of Hillsboro, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at his residence.
Sean was born on October 12, 2004, in Portsmouth, Ohio, the son of Lindsey Copley. Sean enjoyed his work as an airplane parts fabricator for Standard Aero. In his free time, Sean could be found hanging out with his brother and sister, as well as his close friends. His free time was dedicated to playing video games, attending concerts, and spending time outdoors. His dog Buddy was his treasured companion as often as possible.
Sean is survived by his fiancée, Maleah Cook. Together, he and Maleah were anticipating the arrival of their daughter in October. He also leaves his mother, Lindsey Copley; his sister, Elysia Copley; and his brother, Nik Copley, all of Portsmouth; as well as his maternal grandmother, Virginia Copley of Portsmouth; and his maternal grandparents, Sandra and Bob Copley of Peebles. He will be missed by his uncle, Doug (Kim) McFarland of Peebles; and his aunts, Alexandra Copley of Clearwater, Florida and Stephanie (Rob) Sanders of Thornville, Ohio; along with his many cousins.
Sean’s family is planning to hold a celebration of his life at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
