As part of the celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary in 2026, the Adams County Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with the Adams County 250th Committee to create a time capsule that will preserve the story of our community for future generations.
We are excited to offer an exclusive opportunity for Adams County Chamber members to participate by submitting a letter and photograph representing their business today.
This is your chance to tell future Adams Countians about your business, your employees, your customers, and the role you play in our local economy and community. The time capsule is scheduled to be opened in 2076, giving future generations a unique glimpse into the businesses that helped shape Adams County in 2026.
Consider sharing:
• The history of your business
• What your business does and who it serves
• Your impact on the community
• Significant milestones or accomplishments
• A message to future generations
Submission Guidelines:
• One letter per business
• Letter may be no more than one sheet of paper (8.5” x 11”), front and back
• One photograph per business
• Photograph must be no larger than 4” x 6”
• Submissions must be received by June 30, 2026
Participation is ONLY available to current Adams County Chamber of Commerce members.

All submissions will become part of the Adams County America 250 Time Capsule, creating a snapshot of the businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs that help make Adams County a great place to live, work, and do business.
To ensure the time capsule remains appropriate for future generations and reflects the spirit of the Adams County America 250 celebration, the Adams County 250th Committee reserves the right to decline or exclude any letter or photograph it determines to be inappropriate, offensive, or inconsistent with the purpose of the project.
