People’s Defender By virtue of two wins and a tie in their final three outings, the Peebles Lady Indians soccer squad completed their 2025 regular season with an overall record of 8-7-2. That mark is significant because it is the first winning season for the Lady Indians since 2020, ironically the senior season of current head coach Kierra Wagner.

Those final three regular season contests, all on the road, began with a 7-1 win over the Northwest Lady Mohawks on October 1. The Peebles offensive explosion was led by two goals each from senior Aiva Brumley and sophomore Kendall Myers, along with single scores from freshmen Willow Bohl and Katie Myers. plus sophomore Paysen Shiveley.

The Lady Indians traveled to Hillsboro on October 6 to battle the Lady Indians, a battle that concluded in a 3-3 deadlock. Peebles got goals from Brumley, junior Kyndal Alonso and junior Reese Davis while between the pipes, Kendall Myers racked up 10 saves.

Witt that winning record there for the taking, the Lady Indians played their final Southern Hills Athletic Conference game on October 10, claiming a 3-1 win over the Ripley Lady Jays. Brumley was again the instigator on offense, tallying two goals, complimented by one from Alonso.

The win left Peebles with a 2-4-0 record in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play.

Brumley was the team’s leading goal scorer in the regular season, scoring 21 goals, good for third overall in the SHAC. Goalkeeper Kendall Myers was fifth in the conferecne with 81 saves.

The postseason began for the Lady Indians on Monday, October 13 as they were the #8 seed in Division V and were back on their home field, this time hosting a district quarterfinal match up with #9 seeded Piketon. Results of that game were not available at press time.
