The season of spooky tales and magical moments is upon you. Come to the library for engaging Storytimes, creative craft projects and puzzles, and quiet movie afternoons. You’ll discover plenty of seasonal fun for the whole family, from eerie adventures to cozy fall favorites. Don’t miss the chance to make memories, share laughs, and celebrate autumn with us at the library.

We invite you to gather with your little ones and dive into the wonder of Storytime, a place where words weave spells, laughter fills the air, and imaginations are set free. At the North Adams Library, Storytime takes place each Tuesday at 11 a.m. At the Peebles Library, you can join the thrills each Wednesday at 11 a.m. At the West Union Library, stories come to life each Thursday at 11 a.m. And at the Manchester Library, you are welcome to join us on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Thursdays at 5 p.m. Storytime is not just an hour of reading; it is a chance to spark curiosity, strengthen early literacy skills, and encourage children to fall in love with books from the very beginning.

Are you looking for a creative way to spend your afternoon? Children ages six through eleven are invited to our After School Programs. Come to the Peebles Library every Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. for a smorgasbord of fun. From DIY makerspace crafts to puzzles and hands-on activities, you will find plenty to explore and enjoy. On Wednesday, October 15, at 3 p.m., the North Adams Library invites you for a STEAM adventure where you can build and create with magnetic tiles. The afternoon is designed to challenge your creativity and imagination. At the Manchester Library, you can look forward to Crafternoon every Thursday at 2:30 p.m. where you can enjoy fun projects that let your artistic side shine.

If you are a teen searching for a challenge, the North Adams Library has an engaging activity just for you. On Thursday, October 16, at 2:30 p.m., you can solve an optical illusion puzzle, color a picture, or even design an optical illusion of your own. Unwind, get creative, and put your problem-solving skills to the test.

Families are also invited to gather for a movie in the afternoon. On Thursday, October 16 at 3:30 p.m., the Peebles Library will be showing a family-friendly movie. You can sit back, relax, and enjoy the story, while savoring complimentary popcorn and drinks. If you would rather spend your evening creating something cozy and seasonal, join us that same day at 5:30 p.m. for a crochet session, at the Noth Adams Library. All skill levels are welcome, so whether you are a beginner or experienced, you can learn something new while making pumpkin coasters to celebrate the season. Relax, connect, and leave with a handmade project you will be proud of.

From Storytimes filled with wonder to afternoons of crafts, puzzles, movies, and creative challenges, you can embrace the spirit of the season at the library. Let the magic of fall guide you into stories, adventures, and activities that you will not forget. For more information, visit our website at adamscolibrary.org or give us a call.
