The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has released its 2024–2025 school report cards, offering a snapshot of how schools and districts across Adams County are performing. The data paints a picture of progress in some areas but also identifies where improvement is needed, particularly in early literacy, graduation rates, and student growth.

North Adams High School received an overall rating of three stars, which means the school is meeting state standards. The report card shows that students performed at state expectations in academic achievement and gap closing, and the school exceeded standards in college, career, workforce, and military readiness. However, the report also notes that the school fell short in student growth expectations and needs additional support to meet state standards in graduation rates.

North Adams Elementary School also earned three stars overall. The school is meeting standards in achievement and exceeding standards in gap closing, showing progress in addressing educational gaps for student groups. Yet the school’s report indicates that it fell short in student growth, while early literacy for grades K–3 remains an area of concern where additional support is needed.

Peebles High School earned a higher rating of three and a half stars. The school met state standards in academic achievement and college, career, and workforce readiness, while exceeding standards in gap closing. The report further showed evidence that the school met student growth expectations, which sets it apart from some other county schools. However, graduation rates still need improvement.

Peebles Elementary School also received a rating of three stars. The school met expectations in both achievement and student growth but fell short in gap closing and early literacy. Those areas will remain a focus for improvement moving forward.
