The first official college signing of an Adams County senior athlete is in the books as Peebles High School senior Kaelyn Musser has determined where she will continue her athletic/academic career. In singing ceremony held on September 4, Musser, a talented multi-sport athlete, inked her letter of intent to join the Shawnee State Bears softball program.

“I picked Shawnee because it just felt right,”said Musser. “The coaches and players were super welcoming and I could really see myself fitting in there. I wanted a place where I can grow in the classroom and on the field and Shawnee felt like home.”

“Kaelyn’s hard work and dedication have certainly paid off and we look forward to watching her at the next level,” added Peebles softball coach Am,anda Myers.

In the 2025 spring season, Musser, a southpaw pitcher, fanned 163 hitters in 130.1 innings of work. For her three-year career to date, she has struck out 307 opponents.
