Are you searching for ways to add creativity, learning, and family fun to your September calendar? At the Adams County Public Libraries, you will discover a wide variety of programs designed for all ages. Upcoming events include hands-on activities, educational programs, and quiet moments with crafts.

At the Manchester Library, you can pick up take-home crafts for all ages throughout the month. Each kit allows you to complete the project at home, making it easy to enjoy crafting at your own pace. These projects are a wonderful way to spend a relaxing afternoon or to share a creative moment with family.

Families can celebrate apple season at the Peebles Library on Thursday, September 11, at 3 p.m. Delve into an exciting and relaxing family program where you will sort apples by color and weigh them as a group. Then, transform those apples into stamps to create vibrant fall apple pop art, inspired by Andy Warhol. This activity promises laughter, learning, and beautiful art pieces you can proudly take home.

Discover even more family fun at the West Union Library during Family Night on Thursday, September 11, at 5:30 p.m. Gather your loved ones to play classic board games, challenge one another, and enjoy a lively evening together. Family Night is the perfect opportunity to set aside screens and reconnect through games, friendly competition, and teamwork.

At the North Adams Library, you can explore an important topic on Wednesday, September 10, at 5 p.m. During Learn About Dyslexia, you will gain insight into how dyslexia affects young readers. The session will also share practical strategies, helpful activities, and book recommendations that can support reading success. Designed for all ages, this program invites children, teens, parents, caregivers, and educators to learn together.

Children will also have plenty of chances to dive into exciting weekly programs. At the Peebles Library, kids ages 6 to 11 can enjoy Wednesday afternoons at 2:30 p.m. with a smorgasbord of makerspace crafts, puzzles, and activities. At the North Adams Library on Thursday, September 11, at 3 p.m., children in the same age range can join an Afterschool STEAM adventure, where they will design their own board, card, and active games while drawing inspiration from books in the collection.

Younger children can explore the joy of early learning during Storytime at all four libraries. Each session includes stories, songs, crafts, and games that help prepare little ones for kindergarten. Visit Storytime at the North Adams Library on Tuesdays at 11 a.m., the Peebles Library on Wednesdays at 11 a.m., and the West Union Library on Thursdays at 11

a.m. The Manchester Library offers Storytime twice each week, on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Thursdays at 5 p.m.
