Leslie Matthew Lorenz, age 36, passed away July 18, 2025 at Buckeye Forest in Fairfield, Ohio. He was born October 14, 1988 in Georgetown Ohio, He was a former, FFA Member and former member of the Liberty Farmers 4-H Club. Matthew shared his family’s love of farming and raising livestock.
He loved International Harvester tractors and heavy-duty Ford trucks.
He is survived by his mother Linda (Sam) Kimmerly, Jr. of West Union Ohio, brothers, Joseph Kimmerly of West Union Ohio, and Samuel Michael Kimmerly (Abby Politt) of Winchester, Ohio; uncles, William (Bill) Tammy Chapman of West Union, Ohio, Duane Yates of Winchester, Ohio and Donald (Barb) Yates of West Union, Ohio; aunts. Gail Wescott of West Union, Ohio, Lisa Ann Yates of Carlisle, Kentucky and Loretta Robinson of Lexington, Kentucky; nieces, Joanna Kimmerly and Akia Kimmerly; nephews, Zander Gorman Kimmerly, Emmett Kimmerly, Jason Kimmerly and Samuel Wayne Kimmerly; godfather Tim Sheeley; and lifelong best friends, Ashley (Giggles) Davenport and Derron Lee Ross,
Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Greg Matthew Lorenz; grandparents Leslie and Mary Lorenz and Emmett and Joan Yates; nephew Gene Michael Kimmerly; uncles Danny Yates, Jack Yates, Charles Yates, Rick Yates, Michael Yates and Paul Yates.
Services will be announced following cremation.
