People’s Defender

The beat goes on for Coach Katie Ragan and the North Adams Lady Devils varsity volleyball squad. The Lady Devils have begun their 2024 season with a string of nine consecutive wins, five of those in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play where they bare defending their gold ball championship for last year.

The Lady Devils traveled to West Union on September 3 to face the improved Lady Dragons in a conference match up. North Adams dominated the first set, behind the usual strong play of the trio of seniors Katelynn Boerger and Aulbrea Meade, along with junior Natalie Ragan. Meade served the final six points of a 25-7 first set win.
