Dan Fristoe, 83 years of age, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dan was born on August 6, 1941 in Peebles, Ohio, to the late Richard and Bess (Stewart) Fristoe. Dan spent his life working on the family farm. He attended the Peebles Baptist Church and he was a member of the Gideons International, Peebles Young Farmers and the Adams County Regional Water District. Dan was the president of the Southern Ohio Feeder Calf Association and a former Sunday school teacher.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel Fristoe; and two brothers, John and Mark Fristoe. Dan is survived by his wife, Sue (Thomas) Fristoe of Peebles, whom he married on June 1, 1963. He also leaves his children, Mark and Tina Fristoe of Peebles, Yvette and Mark Fetterly of Lake View and Crystal Jones of West Union; as well as his brother, Reggie and Sherri Fristoe of Cookeville, Tennessee. Dan will be dearly missed by his seven grandchildren, one step-grandchild, six great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may pay their respects during visitation on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Peebles Baptist Church in Peebles, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held the following morning, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m., also at the Peebles Baptist Church, in Peebles. Tony Kelley and Richard Lloyd will officiate the service. The burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Peebles.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Dan’s memory to either the Gideons International or the Peebles Baptist Church.
