When Scott McFarland revived the West Union football program more than a decade ago, the Dragons were dominant, plowing through the county and winning numerous Super Bowl titles. In recent years, though, that hasn’t been the case, last season not even being able to finish the schedule for various reasons. In 2024 and beyond, the newest varsity football coach for the Dragons will be looking to reverse that trend and get the West Union program back on winning ground.

Todd Jarvis takes over the reins as the West Union varsity coach, replacing Carl “Poppy” Mills who is now the president of the Southern Ohio Independent League. It’s a family affair for Todd, whose wife Summer is now the West Union Football director, while his son Dakota is the team’s offensive coordinator.
