The Adams County Ohio Valley School District (ACOVSD) continues to lead in green, sustainable initiatives that reduce operating costs. The district’s latest development is the procurement of four Lion Electric school buses, funded through a $1.38 million grant from the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Safe Bus Program.
“This is just one more step in a series of steps that this school district has taken,” ACOVSD Facility Manager Steve Wolfe told The People’s Defender.
Each of the three attendance areas within the ACOVSD—West Union, Peebles and North Adams—will receive a dedicated Lion Electric bus. The use of the fourth bus will be determined later.
