Pet lovers in Adams County and surrounding areas now have the option to care for their beloved pets after death at Peaceful Pastures, a state-of-the-art aquamation (also known as “water cremation”) and pet funeral service facility in Winchester.

Dana Marriner, a funeral director for 20 years, had long been interested in operating a pet cremation and funeral service facility. That dream became a reality in early August with the help of her husband, Willis Marriner.

“Dealing with the human side of it, I saw a lot of people who had a need for special care for their pets as well,” Dana told The People’s Defender. “There really weren’t a lot of options out there.”
