People’s Defender

It was a profitable weekend for the quartet of high school football squads in Adams County as three of the four came out victorious, the winners including Peebles, Manchester and North Adams.

Two of the games were Southern Ohio Independent League contests, Peebles defeating the Foxfire Phoenix 45-0 and North Adams routing Southern Buckeye by a final count of 69-0. In non-conference action, West Union was on the road at Middletown Christian and dropped a 19-6 decision.
