The 34th Annual Winchester Homecoming Festival is set to kick off on Friday, August 23, with an Opening Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. and will run until Sunday, August 25, concluding with the Grand Parade at 3 p.m. and the official festival closing at 6 p.m.

Festival committee member Joyce Porter emphasized the community focus of the event, noting, “We give back to the community, we don’t just do this and hoard the funds. We put things back, especially for the kids and the cemetery fund. People make donations with that in mind.”
