The Adams County Waste and Recycling (AWAR) transfer station, located at 95 Trefz Road outside of West Union, will closed from Saturday August 31 through Thursday September 12 for a large concrete paving project.
The last day for customers to dispose of trash and tires before the closure will be Friday August 30, with normal operations resuming on Friday September 13.
Partial funding for this concrete project was provided by the Ohio EPA with additional funds contributed by the Adams-Clermont Solid Waste District.
