Robert Paul Applegate, age 83 years, of West Union, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born January 15, 1941 in Tollesboro, Kentucky to the late Charles L. and Gertrude (Rouse) Applegate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jane (McAdow) Applegate.
Mr. Applegate was a pharmacist at Blake’s Pharmacy for 55 years, a dual member of West Union Lodge #43 & Manchester Lodge #317, Past Master of West Union Lodge #43 and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Cincinnati.
Survivors include his daughter, Jill Applegate of West Union; sister, Cecilia Knox of Dayton; brother Freddie Applegate and Brenda of Xenia; niece, Cindy Mays; nephews, Greg Knox and Brian Applegate; and special friend Randy Mack of West Union.
Masonic & Scottish Rites services by Randy Mack, with funeral to follow will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union. Burial will follow in the West Union Cemetery with graveside military services provided by the Adams County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Services are entrusted to Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union.
