Gaylen Roades, age 74, of Winchester, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 at his residence. He was born November 2, 1949 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late Gilbert and Hattie (Taylor) Roades. He was a carpenter and a member of the Wesley Chapel Church of Christ in Christian Union. He attended school at Lynchburg.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers, David, Richard and Larry Roades.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn Roades of Winchester; sons, Michael Roades and wife Susan of Winchester and Mathew Roades and wife Jennifer of Sardinia; brothers, Kenneth Roades and wife Susan of Winchester, Darrell Roades and wife Shirley of Hillsboro and Dale Roades and wife Annetta of Marshall; sisters, Noreen Bodnarik of Placida, Florida and Kathy Bash and husband Jan of Pricetown, Ohio; sister-in-law, Patty Roades of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union under the direction of the Meeker Funeral Home. Rev Randy Peters and Rev Gary Heimbach will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the church.
