The North Adams High School Cross Country team hosted their annual Firecracker 5K on Saturday July 6. It was a hot and humid morning as just over 100 participants lined up to walk or run as a way to help raise funds for the team.
Kyler Fite, a junior from Lynchburg Clay High School, was the winner for male runners while NAHS XC alumni Myla Toole was once again the winner for female runners. Zach Kirker from Mt. Orab was the first male walker to cross the finish line while North Adams staff member Jennifer Napier was the first female walker.
Coaches Kelly Boerger and Casie Reed would like to thank all the business who sponsored the event as well as all the runners and walkers (and four legged participants) who joined in the fun.
