Daulton, Applegate earns First Team honors

The baseball coaches of Ohio’s Southeast District last month released their selections for the 2024 Southeast District All-District Baseball Teams in Divisions III and IV, a list notably full of players from the Southern Hills Athletic Conference. No less than 22 players drom the SHAC received All-District recognition, including seven from Adams County schools. In the baseball All-District choices, the district is divided into East and West, with the schools in the SHAC being part of the West.
Two players from Adams County received First Team honors, North Adams senior Easton Daulton in Division III West and Manchester sophomore Luke Applegate in Division IV West. Also honored from the county were Peebles senior Gage Grooms (Second Team West), North Adams senior Caleb Rothwell (Special Mention West), North Adams senior Ethan Taylor (Special Mention West), Manchester freshman Thomas Barnahrt (Second Team West), and Manchester senior Drew Kennedy (Honorable Mention West).
The SHAC also had two Coaches of the Year, Eastern Brown’s Steve Goetz (Division III West) and Fairfield’s Kyle Zimmerman (Division IV West).
