Wyvonne Tolle, 87 years of age, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at her residence.
Wyvonne was born on March 20, 1937 in Adams County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Franklin J and Mary D (Marcum) Smalley. Wyvonne worked as a nurse’s aide at the Adams County Hospital in West Union. She attended the Shawnee Community Church in Wamsley.
In addition to her parents, Wyvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Tolle, whom she married on February 20, 1954, and who died on February 15, 2024, a few days before their 70th wedding anniversary. She was also preceded in death by a grandchild; her brothers, Darrell and Earnest Smalley; and her sisters, Helen Damron, Laura May Lacy and Velma Austin.
She is survived by her sons, Gail (Judy) Tolle, Dale (Merry Kay) Tolle and Denver Tolle, all of Peebles; and her daughter, Beverly (Jack) McClanahan of Seaman. Wyvonne will be missed by her 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and nine great, great-grandchildren.
Family and friends paid their respects during visitation on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, Ohio.
Funeral services were held following the visitation, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, beginning at 1 p.m., also at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles. The burial followed at the Evergreen Cemetery in Peebles.
