The Adams County Jr Fair BBQ Committee donated $20,000 to the new Horse Complex being constructed at the Adams County Fairgrounds. Since the first BBQ in 1962, all profits from the BBQ each year are given to the Senior Fair Board for Junior Fair Improvements. If there is not a project in progress the money is held until needed on the next project.
The first BBQ donation helped build the old show arena. Recent projects have included $20,000 for the new show arena, $5,000 for sheep pens, $15,000 for goat pens and $20,000 two years ago to the small animal complex.
This years Junior Fair BBQ will be Thursday September 5, 4 – 7:30 p.m. at the Ohio Valley CTC,
