Congratulations to Lions President Chandra Berry of the Ripley Lions Club and Lion’s President Cynthia (Howard) Rader of the Peebles Lions Club for receiving individual and club awards at the Lions District Convention April 26-27.
Ripley Lions President Chandra Berry received District Second Place 2023-2024 for Net Membership Growth, Certificate of Outstanding Participation to the Ripley Lions Club for Membership Challenge, and Second Place to the Ripley Lions Club for 2023-2024 District 13 OH6 Healthy Club Contest. President Berry also received a pin for 2024 #1 Lion Catcher and a metal for District Governors Award. Ripley Lions Club Member Michael Napier received an award for 2023-2024 Lion of the Year.
Peebles Lions President Cynthia (Howard) Rader received a pin for 2024 #2 Lion Catcher and a medal for the District Governors Award.
Lions Club International is the largest service organization (1.4 million members) in the world with a motto of “We Serve”. There are eight global causes of focus that Lions work in: Hunger, Vision, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, Environment, Youth, Humanitarian and Disaster Relief.
