Summer is the time for youth basketball camps and that was the case for three days in late May as Coach Sidney Pell and her Peebles Lady Indians basketball program hosted their 2024 youth basketball camp, attended by young ladies entering second through sixth grades for the upcoming school year.

This year’s camp was just a bit different for Coach Pell as she brought along a special guest, her first-born son Tate, who entered the world just two weeks earlier. Lady Indians’ JV coach Adams Carroll stepped up and handled many of the camp duties.

The young ladies (and future Lady Indians) who spent the three days improving their fundamental basketball skills included: Ella Schutte, Ryder Penn, Whitley Smart, Chloe Tolle, Claire Shady, Charlotte Slone, Piper Page, Charlee Cluxton, Nevah Isaac, Alleeyah Perdue, Harper King, Halo Beckham, Dayla Vogler, Mackenzie Irvine, Brilee Young, Lakyn Carroll, Isla Tolle, Savannah Crothers, Ava Smalley, Adelyn Deardoff, Demi Fizer-Attinger, Cambri McGlothin, Peyton Purcell, Harley Beam, Trudi Kremin, Adria Mason, Charlee Baxter, Lillie Nichols, Evelyn Barnes and Anya Barnes.

No summer camp succeeds without the assistance of the former and current high school players. Those former and current Lady Indians who helped out last month included: Payton Johnson, Abigail Smalley, Lydia Maddox, Lainee Barr, MaRhea Unger, Angel Gray, Rylee Barr, Caydence Carroll, Ella Richards, Kiera Scott, Alyssa Smalley, Rayna Beckham, Kyndal Alonso, Kendall Myers, Paysen Shively, Jerzi Tong, Amryn Carroll, Emily Burns, Lauren Shreve and Marisa Estle.
