Jessie Lucille Sheeley, age 97 years of Winchester, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Hospice of Hope in Seaman, Ohio. Jessie was born September 7, 1926 in Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Ortie Vernon and Mernia Victoria McCann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John William “Bill” Sheeley; son, Warren Russell Sheeley; and daughter Johnie Sue Sheeley.
Survivors include daughters Sandra Hazelbaker of Martinsville, Ohio, Sherry Howard of West Union, Ohio, and Donna Edmisten and Henry of Leesburg, Ohio; sons, Michael Sheeley and Sharon of Winchester, Ohio and Patrick Sheeley of Peebles, Ohio; brother, Delbert McCann of Martinsville, Ohio; several grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at the West Union Cemetery with Dave Hopkins officiating. Visitation will be held the same day, from 10 a.m. – noon at the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home in West Union.
