People’s Defender

Budding artists from Adams County showed their talent at the annual All County Arts Festival on March 20 at West Union High School. Unfortunately, this reporter had an unforeseen conflict and was unable to attend. Thank goodness – we “get by with a little help from our friends.” Gifted Education Coordinator for Adams County Ohio Valley School District Janice Day and scholarship presenter Satrista Myrick provided details and photographs of the event.

Roger Whitacre was the Guest Band Conductor, and Dr. Roosevelt Escalante was the Guest Choir Conductor.

Crystal Roberts, Manchester High School; Trina Stapleton, North Adams High School; Beth McElwee, Peebles High School; and Michael Felts, West Union High School, were art instructors whose students participated in the showcase.
