James E. “Gene” Stephenson, 84 years, of Seaman, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman, Ohio.
Gene was born in Peebles, Ohio, on May 11, 1936, the son of the late Evealena (Call) and James M Stephenson.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and by one stepson, Charles Inskeep.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Willis) Stephenson, whom he married on May 10, 1972; and by two stepsons, John (Lisa) Inskeep of Minister, Ohio and Gary (Tammy) Inskeep of Texas; and by two stepdaughters, Linda (Bill) Blevins of Indiana and Vickie (Bob) O’Brien of West Union. Gene also leaves a brother, Bill Stephenson of Cincinnati; and a sister, Debbie Jackson of Peebles. Gene will be missed by his 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 17 great, great-grandchildren.
Gene’s family is planning a memorial service for a later date.
