Amos W. Cross, 92 years, of Peebles, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, at the Adams County Regional Medical Center, Seaman, Ohio.
Amos was born in Blue Creek, Ohio, on May 7, 1928, the son of the late Eldon and Louella (Hayslip) Cross. Amos served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, where he worked as a firefighter while stationed at Ft. Lewis, Washington. After leaving the military, Amos worked as a fuel delivery driver, until he began working for Knauff Farm Supply (which became Crum Farm Supply), which he managed for over 35 years.
In addition to his parents, Amos was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret (Campbell) Cross, who passed in 1973; and by his second wife, Ethel (Johnson) Cross, who passed in 2011.

He is survived by his four sons, Randy (Linda) Cross of Peebles, Rick (Teresa) Cross of Cherry Fork, Rob (Lisa Seaman) Cross of Peebles, and Kevin (Jeana) Cross of Peebles; and a daughter, Kay (Danny) Dick of Peebles.

Amos also leaves five stepchildren, Roger (Nettie) Johnson, Ralph (Linda) Johnson, Neute (Sherry) Johnson, Jr., Diane (Dick) McKenzie, and Beverly McKenzie; as well as a sister, Virginia Duvall; a brother-in-law, Jr. Campbell; and a sister-in-law, Jean Covert; along with 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services, officiated by Dave Hopkins, will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in, Peebles, Ohio. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery. Military services will be provided by the Adams County Honor Guard.
