Georgia Ann Cox, 52 years, of Peebles, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Georgia was born on Jan. 24, 1968, in West Union, Ohio, the daughter of James and Dollie (Stone) Workman. Georgia worked as a social worker for ABCAP. She attended the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union.
In addition to her parents, Georgia is survived by her husband, Ben Cox, whom she married on May 20, 1995. She is also survived by two sons, Ben (Lydia) Cox of Cherry Fork and Jeremy (Kathryn) Workman of Wilmington; and by five daughters, Amy Jo (Donnie) Haudenschield of LaRue, Ohio, Nikki Blodgett of Peebles, Becky (Matthew) Minton of Peebles, Whitney Workman of Peebles, and Jessica Brown of Peebles. Georgia is also survived by a brother, Jamie Workman; and two sisters, Suzie Swayne and Robyn Powell, all of Peebles. Georgia will be missed by her 15 grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services, which will be held at 3 p.m.on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at the Locust Grove Cemetery. The ceremony will be officiated by Dave Hopkins. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made at any First State Bank location under The Georgia Cox Memorial Fund.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home.
