Marie E. Gaffin, age 86 years of West Union, Ohio, passed away Monday May 4, 2020. Marie was born Aug. 16, 1933 to the late Roy and Blanche (Johnson) Appleman in Vinton County, Ohio. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph (Gundy) Gaffin, sister Juanita Shortridge, and brother Cecil Appleman.
Marie was a member of the West Union Church of Christ in Christian Union in West Union, Ohio.
Survivors include one daughter, Tonya Gaffin of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Lanny Gaffin of Le High, Florida and Jeff Gaffin and Joyce of Bentonville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Jesse, Joni, and Melissa; seven great grandchildren; one great grandchild; and six nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus Pandemic, a private funeral service will be held. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 12:30 p.m. at the Kirker Cemtery with Richard Lloyd officiating. The Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home of West Union is serving the family.
