Congressman Brad Wenstrup this week announced his intention to run for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives where he represents the people of Southern and Southwestern Ohio in the 2nd District.
“From strengthening our military and helping our veterans get the care they deserve to cutting taxes for the middle-class and unleashing the power of the American economy by slashing regulatory red tape, I’m incredibly proud of the results I’ve delivered for hardworking Ohio families. I look forward to continuing to serve and fight for the hardworking families of Ohio’s second district in Washington.”
Wenstrup noted legislative results in several areas, including strengthening our economy, bringing historic reforms to the VA, reforming onerous federal regulations, combating the opioid epidemic, securing our border, and boosting military readiness, as among his top accomplishments in office.
“I am committed to continuing to combat the scourge of the opioid epidemic that has taken too many loved ones in our communities. I will keep fighting for local prevention and treatment resources and to support local programs that use evidence-based recovery methods that prevent relapses and lead to successful recoveries.”
“I will also continue to be a leader in maintaining a strong national defense that includes making sure our men and women in uniform have the resources they need to keep America safe.”
Over the last several months, Wenstrup has maintained a rigorous schedule of meetings and events with Ohio families, business owners and community leaders across Southern and Southwestern Ohio -discussing his efforts in Washington and listening to their concerns and priorities.
Wenstrup starts his bid for re-election in a strong position.

• Over 430 grassroots endorsements, spanning 4 states.
“I’m confident that by working together we will be able to preserve the legacy of freedom and opportunity for our children and grandchildren. I’ll continue to fight for a safer world. I’ll continue to fight for truth, justice, and the American way.” Brad said.
