Glenn Adams, age 73 years of Decatur, Ohio, passed away on Feb. 28, 2019 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Cincinnati. Glenn was born on May 16, 1945, the son of the late Fred and Clotina (Rice) Adams in Brown County, Ohio. Besides his parents Glenn was preceded in death by a wife of 37 years, Linda Adams.
Glenn was a member of the West Union Bible Baptist Church, former Byrd Township Trustee for 16 years, a bus driver for the Ripley-Union School District, one of the founding members of the Byrd Township Fire Department, and also worked at the West Union Golf Course.
Survivors include his loving wife, Brenda Adams of Manchester, Ohio; daughter, Melinda Brannan and Lonzie of Decatur, Ohio; four sons, Jeff Adams and Kathy of Bethel, Ohio, Gary Lee Hayslip Jr. and Denette of Manchester, Ohio, Todd Adams of Decatur, Ohio, and Rick Adams of Russellville, Ohio; brother, Weldon Adams of Russellville, Ohio; sister Jane Wagner of Decatur, Ohio; 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the West Union Bible Baptist Church with Tim Carter officiating, under the direction of the Thompson-Meeker Funeral Home of West Union. Burial will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.- to 1 p.m. the day of the service at the church.
