James E. Breeze, 80 years of Manchester, formerly of Winchester passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Monarch Meadows in Seaman. Jim was born August 23, 1937 in Lewis County, KY., the son of the late Alex and Julia (Ham) Breeze. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Anna (Whaley) Breeze on August 5, 2013; two sons, Troy Stamper II and Brad Stamper; one sister, Jacquie Curtis. Jim was a talented individual, having worked in manufacturing, farmed most of his life and retired from Wal Mart where he was an assembler. Jim served his Country during the Viet Nam War and is a member of the Richard L. Dryden VFW Post #8287 in Manchester and the Cameron-Ellis American Legion Post #242 in Winchester. Jim served Mayor of Winchester for 8 years. Jim attended the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union and the Winchester First Church of Christ. Jim is survived by three daughters, Jami (Chad) Dryden of Manchester, Amy (Bobby) Utterback of Winchester, Teresa (Jamie) Stout of Hillsboro; one son, Chip (Tangie) Stamper of Winchester; 23 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren; one brother, Dallas (Shelby) Breeze of Wildwood, FL; four sisters, Phyllis (Ed) Campbell of Winchester, Brenda Breeze of Winchester, Tammy Zimmerman of Columbus, OH., Jude Rae (Rob) Endicott of Winchester; two sisters-in-law, Sue (Jim) Kidder of Wildwood, FL, Shirley McKenzie of Lynchburg; host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Adams County Honor Guard will perform Military Rites at 6:00 P.M. prior to Funeral Services, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester. Gene Toole will officiate services. Friends may call from 2:00 P.M until 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the Bradford-Sullivan Chapel.
