Wilda June Garrison, 81 years of Peebles, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018, at the Monarch Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Seaman, Ohio.
Wilda was born in Campton, Ky. on June 26, 1936, the daughter of Lucille Duncil. She worked as a nurse’s aide for many years. Some of Wilda’s greatest joys in life included the time she spent working in her vegetable garden and with her flowers. She loved animals, and especially enjoyed being around cats.
In addition to her parents, Wilda was preceded in death by two sons, Eddie Garrison and Bryan Garrison. Wilda is survived by her son, Greg (Kim) Garrison of Peebles; and a sister, Freda Schobolock, of Waverly. Wilda leaves behind two grandchildren, Victoria and Kaci; and several great-grandchildren, as well as a special friend, JR, of Tennessee; and Aunt Linda Conley of Waynesville; along with many other dear family and friends.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, in Peebles. Burial followed at the Locust Grove Cemetery. The ceremony was officiated by Dave Hopkins.
